We photographed 5 talented humans for Smithsonian's annual Ingenuity Awards issue and Trish Sie was just a dream to work with. First off, we were welcomed by Trish and her husband into their colorful home where the most delicious bread was baking (and that we stuffed our faces with), she introduced us to her beautiful hens, we took portraits and we got to do a video interview about her magicalinsanecreative videos she creates for OK Go (her brother Damian Kulash Jr is the band's lead singer and guitarist). She told us about literally defying gravity for OK Go's killer "Upside Down Inside Out" video where she and a crew and the band all experienced weightlessness via hypergravity in a Russian transport jet that made flying parabolas (pass the Dramamine). What an amazing woman!
