First up: tell us which photo you like more out of these two! 1 or 2? // LA Woman: singer, writer, filmmaker, songwriter Lola Blanc aka @oohlalola with her adorable pup Rambo in her LA home. Lola’s home is full of deep rich colors and it was such a treat to be able to use it as our backdrop. “My home is like an extension of myself. I spend so much time in my apartment and do so much of my work there, it’s like its own art project for me. I want to look around and see colors, design, and objects that I love. I know material objects do not bring us happiness in theory, but designing my apartment and filling it with beautiful things sure does,” Lola said. #lawomanbrinsonbanks

✨👁✨ LA Woman: Lola Blanc @oohlalola | Lola is a writer and a creator—she is a filmmaker who acts and a songwriter who sings. “I think LA is really unique in that practically everyone here has a big dream, and most of those dreams involve some kind of creative career. There’s definitely more of an emphasis on being commercially successful here than in other artsier cities, but I don’t think we’re at all lacking in artfulness or authenticity. LA Woman: Loveis Wise (yes, that’s her gorgeous name) only just moved to LA by way of DC and then Philadelphia one month ago. We got to check out her adorable Echo Park home (she unpacked and settled in fast!). Loveis is an incredible illustrator whose work we have long admired (you can spot it out in the world on anything from covers of The New Yorker to Google to Buzzfeed—her client list is long). “In the past, my goals were to dabble and share my work in every space imaginable. Now, my work feels much more intentional and I just want to incorporate joy into everything I make.” Yes, we feel that.
